A children’s play for ages 4 and up by Cie Ici commence. Rémi loves Ella but does not know how to let her know. From “tell her” to “give her a little present,” each of his parents suggests a way for him to express his feelings. Rémi watches Ella—but what about her? How can he tell whether she loves him when she gives everyone octopus hugs? Luiggi is also in Rémi and Ella’s class. Unlike Rémi, Luiggi is loud and takes up a lot of space. Rémi does not like him very much. Yet he will go to his birthday party and get to know him. What if Luiggi’s exuberance is hiding a need for recognition and love? As his friend, Rémi could probably already give him that.
