Workshops divided into 3 groups: Thursday, April 23, from 10 AM to 4 PM (open to all), Friday, April 24, from 10 AM to 12 PM (intergenerational), Friday, April 24, from 2 PM to 4 PM (for women)
The workshops will be divided into 3 groups and will focus on speaking out through writing and sharing personal stories related to one's neighborhood, environment, and its inhabitants. Each workshop is intended for 10-12 participants and aims to blend perspectives, share experiences, and foster connections: - Thursday, April 23, from 10 AM to 4 PM with the option to share a meal between 12 PM and 2 PM in a “potluck” style, open to all - Friday, April 24, from 10 AM to 12 PM aimed at an intergenerational/intrafamily audience (**e.g., father-daughter, grandparent/grandchildren, siblings...) focusing on blending the perspectives of the young and the old, transmitting experiences for the older participants and challenging the views of the younger ones - Friday, April 24, from 2 PM to 4 PM aimed at women During the workshop, each participant will share their story through a real and/or fictional testimony highlighting an aspect of themselves during a moment in their neighborhood (a habit, a landmark, an appearance, a smell, a recipe, a color, a sound, the architecture, a detail, a memory, an event, a meeting, isolation…). This project calls upon the intimate part of each individual, confronting life stories with imaginations, lived experiences, and projections. Reservation is mandatory by becoming a member of the association. Free and conscious pricing at the end of the workshop. Ewa Kraska is an author, director, and head of the itek company. Recently settled in the Thabor neighborhood of Rennes, she develops an artistic approach rooted in France (Metropolis and Guyana) and internationally (Poland, Switzerland, and Japan). Sensitive to the journeys between norm and margin, her work deeply questions the relationship to oneself, to others, and to the intimate by blending theatrical writing, testimonies, and imaginations. Ewa has written and directed over 10 multidisciplinary performances. In 2012, she received the directing award at the International Festival of Radom (Poland) for her first show “Waiting for the Nobel,” inspired by the life and writings of Witold Gombrowicz. Thanks to an artist grant from the City of Geneva, she continues her work with the writing of her critically acclaimed Gombrowicz trilogy. Currently, Ewa is working on the dissemination of her performances “Artaud-Passion” about the poet Antonin Artaud, which has already been performed over 100 times in France, "From Here Too, the View Can Be Magnificent," an original writing initiative in museums based on perspectives gathered during workshops, and the creation of "La Goélette," a performance designed from 25 testimonies of Guyanese residents about their integration process, their portraits, and migratory landscapes. Ewa also conducts workshops in community centers, psychiatric facilities, Sciences Po, and universities through theatrical writing workshops and Master Classes on the dramaturgy of live performance. She will notably lead the workshop "Intimate Writings, How to Tell Your Story" starting January 2026 at the University of Rennes 2 in Performing Arts.
