Lille Cinéphile invites you to (re)discover “The Wild Child,” a film by François Truffaut about a child found in the forest and his education, caught between nature and humanity.
THE WILD CHILD by François Truffaut, starring Jean-Pierre Cargol, François Truffaut and Jean Dasté FRANCE – 1969 – 1h30 – ages 8 and up In a forest in Aveyron, a child living in the wild is captured by farmers. He is initially placed in a center for deaf-mute children, where he becomes an object of curiosity. When the authorities decide to transfer him to a children’s asylum, Doctor Itard objects and takes him into his home in Batignolles to help him develop his intellectual abilities and sensitivity. Event organized in partnership with the Institut de la photographie, as part of the Gare Méditerranée season with lille3000.
