The Association du Musée Hospitalier Régional de Lille invites you to discover the exhibition “Leading Medical Figures from Lille and Hauts-de-France,” on display until December 31, 2026, at the Hermitage Gantois memorial site in Lille. Doctors, surgeons, pharmacists, biologists, and researchers: these individuals helped enhance the reputation of medicine in the region through their discoveries, their commitment to education, and the creation of institutions and hospitals. Some were members of the Académie Nationale de Médecine or the Académie Nationale de Chirurgie. Through their biographies and achievements, discover the women and men who left a lasting mark on the history of medicine in Lille and the wider region. This exhibition is part of the “Famous or Little-Known: Leading Figures from Hauts-de-France and Neighboring Regions” initiative organized by the Proscitec Patrimoines et Mémoires des Métiers network. Venue: Hermitage Gantois (memorial site), 224 rue Pierre Mauroy, Lille. Date: until December 31, 2026. The exhibition is open for self-guided visits on Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
