To mark the European Women's Heritage and Heritage Days, discover the women who shaped the history of maison Folie Moulins and its surrounding area.
Nestled in the heart of the Moulins district, maison Folie occupies the former buildings of a brewery constructed in the 19th century. As the activities hosted at this site changed over the years, the status of women in the Nord region also evolved. To mark the European Heritage and Women's Heritage Days, come and discover these women and how their role in the destiny of maison Folie Moulins and its surrounding area has changed. We will revisit three defining periods, from their erasure in the 19th century and their emancipation in the 1960s to their role in the life of this cultural venue. A hearing loop is available for deaf and hard-of-hearing people with compatible hearing aids.
