La Folie Continue #3 welcomes Matt Van T and his musical tale, Tiger Rodeo. In a deserted saloon, the audience never arrives. Where has everyone gone?! It’s the beginning of a wild adventure set to the sound of country music!
Matt Van T., all set to perform in a saloon, waits for his musicians and an audience who will never come… In this musical tale, our hero suddenly finds himself all alone. To break the spell, he invents an adventure-filled story in which he meets a minstrel fox, a mysterious owl, a bear who makes stringed instruments, and other eccentric animals who help him rediscover his love of music and life! With his cap firmly on his head, a harmonica at his lips, a folk guitar in his hands, and his feet keeping time on the bass drum, he conjures up the old songs of the Appalachians, the mystery of Louisiana blues, and the nostalgia of Texas ballads. His compositions subtly explore themes of loneliness and the alter ego, as well as the power of imagination and creativity as forms of escape. With his country music repertoire, this talented multi-instrumentalist takes us on a journey through an imaginary, fantastical America… Let’s go, folks!
