For European Heritage Days, Maison natale Charles de Gaulle is opening its doors for exceptional guided tours. Accompanied by a guide, explore the different rooms of this Belle Époque family home and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Vieux-Lille at the end of the 19th century. Anecdotes, memories, and stories of everyday life bring to life young Charles’s “joyful reunions” with his family and shed light on his deep attachment to this house. This immersion in the future General’s family history and living environment is available free of charge throughout the weekend. Practical information: Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026. Tours depart every 15 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Duration: 1 hour. Free. No reservation required.
