Visit the Lille Municipal Archives as part of the 2026 Heritage and Women's Heritage Days
Have you always wanted to explore the archives but never dared to step through the door? Would you like to discover what goes on behind the scenes? This tour is for you—and for anyone curious to learn about a little-known profession and see some valuable documents relating to Lille’s history. During the tour, the Archives team will explain why 10 kilometres of documents are stored in the Hôtel de Ville and why it is worth coming to consult them, freely and free of charge, in the reading room. Tours must be booked through jep.lille.fr, subject to availability. Tour times: Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tour duration: approximately 1 hour
