Dive into the world of wine and cheese pairing with Arthur and experience a complete tasting journey designed to understand and feel the harmony between aromas and textures. Workshop outline: • Welcome and introduction: meet Arthur at the Spiritus cellar, in the heart of Montpellier, and discover the workshop's agenda as well as the key principles of tasting. • The basics of wine and cheese pairing: learn the fundamental rules of food-wine pairings and the specifics related to cheese pairings. • Discovery of profiles: explore the different wine profiles and major cheese families to better understand their aromatic characteristics. • Guided tasting: taste 5 wines and 5 cheeses. For each pairing, Arthur presents the origin, production, and characteristics of the cheese, as well as the region, grape varieties, and aromatic profile of the wine, then guides you to understand how the flavors harmonize. • Types of pairings: identify and compare similarity pairings, contrast pairings, and more original pairings, using educational materials (winemaking diagram, map of France, aroma wheel). At the end of the workshop, leave with concrete keys to successfully pair wine and cheese and confidently recreate this gourmet experience.
