As every summer, the festival sets out to bring the city to life with major open-air public events, as the heat of the day gradually gives way to the cool of the evening. Conducted by Didier Benetti, and joined by tenor Forian Laconi, the Chœur de l’Opéra de Montpellier and the Orchestre national de Montpellier perform a selection of great works from the symphonic repertoire by Brahms, Borodine, Verdi and several others, as well as excerpts from film scores that have since become classics.
