As part of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier For more than thirty years now, Maria Schneider has been carving out a vibrant, shimmering, and powerfully evocative style of big band writing, where compositions unfold like paintings or stories told through music. Marked by countless accolades – seven Grammy Awards, and even a Pulitzer Prize nomination! – her career is dotted with prestigious collaborations, all the way to Davie Bowie himself. For several years now, the composer and conductor has cultivated a special relationship with the Clasijazz Big Band, an elite ensemble made up of some of the finest talents on the Iberian scene. Alongside them, she broadens her palette with Andalusian colors, culminating in an intense Bulería carried by the voice of Antonio Lizana, now a key figure in flamenco-jazz. Reservation required
