As part of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Yom, an unclassifiable artist who has moved as readily through Jewish tradition as through Americana, electro, and contemporary music, seemed destined to one day cross paths with brothers Théo and Valentin Ceccaldi, free spirits never short on musical madness. The encounter has all the makings of artistic love at first sight, and very quickly the clarinetist recognized in them the ideal partners to bring his vision of the “rhythm of silence” to life, an expression he heard from a Sufi master to define meditation. Chamber-like in its attention to textures and dynamics, Eastern in its melodic melismas, juggling minimalist purity and almost rock-like intensity, the music unfolds as one long uninterrupted suite, like a powerful healing ritual soothing both body and soul. By reservation only
