As part of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier. Ala.ni’s destiny is an astonishing one: born in London to parents from La Grenade, she first dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer, then became a backing vocalist alongside Mary J. Blige or Blur, tried her hand as a fashion designer, before ultimately following in the footsteps of her great-uncle Leslie Hutchinson, alias Hutch, an international music hall star of the 1930s. After a two-year stay in Jamaïque, she returned to Europe and recorded this third album, experimenting for the first time with a format as stripped-down as it is daring: voice, guitar, cello. The dream setting for a voice freer than ever, nourished by the heritage of the Caribbean while continuing to cultivate its irresistible uniqueness. No doubt about it: in Sunshine Music, Ala.ni shines! Reservation required
