The Jardin de la Reine is part of the Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier, the oldest botanical garden in France and one of the first in Europe. Originally an experimental plot for Pierre Richer de Belleval, a pioneer of modern botany, this garden steeped in history is now a cultural venue and a space for education about biodiversity: insects, birds, medicinal and aromatic plants... and now dye plants too. Guided tour led by members of the managing association, offering a chance to discover the richness of this unique place. Accessibility: motor disabilities. Information: Free. Open admission.
Event from the official Montpellier agenda; venue: Office de Tourisme Montpellier; address: Jardin de la Reine, 34000, Montpellier.
