The Château de la Piscine is exceptionally opening its park to the public, by registration, with a new route built around 7 viewpoints. For this edition devoted to the theme “The View,” the Château offers a new route built around 7 viewpoints, inviting visitors to take a fresh look at the park, its history, and its layout. Outdoor route through the park: You will be able to explore the park freely through a 7-stop route: the entrance and the château façade, the south forecourt, the pond and statues, the meadow and remarkable trees, the oriental garden around the water lilies, the greenhouses, and the noria. A visitor map will be provided at the entrance. A route designed with students from Lycée Jules Guesde The outdoor route was designed based on research carried out by hypokhâgne students from Lycée Jules Guesde – UM3, focusing on the history of the château, its park, and its surroundings. Guided by their teachers and several historic garden specialists, the students studied the estate archives, old plans, the garden’s design principles, and the role of water in its development. They will be present in the park to guide you and share some elements of their research. A contemporary artwork in the park: On this occasion, you will also be able to discover an artwork by Ève Laroche-Joubert in the park, titled Vallon d’une Épaule. This sculpture is part of the artist’s work on organic forms, the body, and the landscape. Its presence at the Château de la Piscine previews a solo exhibition of her work during the Journées européennes du patrimoine next September. Refreshments available on site for an enjoyable moment in the park Also available as an option by reservation: Guided tours of the château will allow you to discover the historic salons and the interior atmosphere of this heritage residence.
