Discover the delicate and fascinating art of marbled paper, a technique used for centuries to decorate books and precious documents. The Archives départementales de l’Hérault invite you to take part in a creative, immersive workshop dedicated to this artistic practice. During the workshop, you will learn the basics of marbled paper: preparing inks, working with colors on the surface of water, and creating unique patterns inspired by natural and abstract forms. Each participant will be able to try out different techniques and leave with their own personalized creations. Open to everyone, with no special prerequisites, this workshop is a friendly opportunity to discover an artisanal craft while exploring your creativity. This shared moment will also give you the chance to learn more about the history and uses of marbled paper, particularly in archival heritage. Adults and children aged 8 and up (accompanied).
