The Association des Barons de Caravètes, whose origins date back to 1273, is committed to passing on Montpellier's history and traditions. It regularly organizes lectures intended to share this cultural heritage with both new and long-standing residents of Montpellier. On June 26, 2026, Claudine Walcker, Baronne de Caravètes, will speak on the theme: "Montpellier Painters from François-Xavier Fabre to the Present Day'' Claudine Walcker invites us on a journey through time and through the spaces of our city, following the traces of a strong artistic tradition since the 18th century with François-Xavier Fabre, painter, collector, and founder of our museum. We will encounter Montpellier painters through their lives and works, and explore the places, past and present, that shape this artistic tradition. You are all warmly invited.
