From August 29 to September 5, Montpellier will host the second edition of UpCo Fashion Week, a festival dedicated to more responsible, creative, and sustainable fashion. Organized by the local collective Upcycling Connexion, the event will spotlight secondhand fashion, upcycling, and repair, with one goal: to consume less, but better. The festivities will kick off on August 29 in the forecourt of Musée Fabre with a runway show featuring upcycled creations, accompanied by music and artistic performances. Throughout the week, workshops, exhibitions, secondhand clothing sales, designer markets, and interactive events will invite the public to rethink their wardrobes. Highlights include a customization bar with Hier Concept, an alternative runway show presented by Nébuleuses, and a textile Kintsugi workshop with Le Club des Simone, followed by a festive evening to close the event. A week to discover a different approach to fashion—one that is more creative, circular, and socially conscious.
