As part of the Arabesques 2026 festival, Meryem Aboulouafa is a singer-songwriter from Casablanca, Morocco. It's in the privacy of her room, guitar in hand, that she writes her first poems and composes songs in English, French, and Arabic, laying the foundation for a deeply personal and sensitive body of work. She releases her first LP Meryem in Paris, supported by Keren Ann and producers Para One and Ojard. Between folk, electronic, and Oriental influences, she builds a bridge between the craft of sonic music and contemporary production, her unique voice at the center. She has just released Family, compositions that are both intimate and deeply cinematic, a sensory journey between softness, intensity, and elegance.
