Driven by the Loire, Nantes built its industry on trade and innovation. The food industry played a major role, giving rise to companies that became iconic: LU, BN, Tipiak, Amieux, Béghin Say and Cassegrain.This temporary exhibition invites visitors of all ages to discover this chapter of Nantes history through an accessible, content-rich journey focusing on the following themes: food industry sectors, the production chain, the role of advertising in the industry, social struggles, workers’ lives and, finally, the future of the food industry in Nantes.A fascinating journey into the history of a region shaped by the river, industry and a love of good food.Exhibition open from February 10, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.Opening reception on Tuesday, February 10 at 5:30 p.m.Paid guided tours for groups, by appointment: 02 40 08 20 22 or [email protected] Driven by the Loire, Nantes built its industry on trade and innovation.
