The lac de Grand Lieu is a paradise for birds! Every summer, a wooden observatory is set up there. From the observatory, take time to watch herons, egrets, grebes and many other species in an exceptional setting by the lake. This summer, a guide from the Faunalis association welcomes you on Saturday mornings at the observatory for a special opportunity to discover the richness of one of France’s largest natural lowland lakes! Upcoming dates:• In July: Saturdays 4, 18 and 25• In August: Saturdays 1, 8, 15 and 22• Open access from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Outside these guided times, the bird observatory is open access from June 22 to September 15.
