As part of Biodivers'été, a former construction-site cabin has been transformed into an educational space dedicated to soil, earth, and organic matter. One of its walls is covered by a giant photographic montage by Philippe Lebeaux illustrating the diversity of soil microfauna. Designed in partnership with the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle de Nantes, which provides equipment and collections, Le Laboraterre invites you to explore the fascinating world beneath our feet. You will discover a selection of soil and rock samples, animal tracks, and tiny soil-dwelling creatures to observe. A growing container with a transparent wall also offers a live view of how root systems develop. Conceived as a cabinet of curiosities, Le Laboraterre offers an intimate, immersive atmosphere, with subdued lighting, materials to observe and touch, and a setting somewhere between a laboratory and a museum. Visitors can explore independently, with Ville de Nantes nature educators on hand to guide the public and answer questions every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find out more ????
