There are four of them on stage. Four women trying to write a letter to the patriarchy. Because they have things to say to it. Finding the words isn't easy, so they debate, struggle, ask themselves questions. “What are we having for lunch?” Women past, present, and future. Women caught between reality and fiction. Women as little girls and grown women—but when do you stop being a child? They talk about those who go upstairs for one last drink, those with beautiful eyes, those who have gained weight, those who are stopped in the street. Those who stay silent and those who scream. Unfuckables is us. Four women on a theater stage—real, sometimes imagined or fantasized, but sometimes not us at all. Unfuckables is an opportunity for a sisterly anthem to rise from our bellies. We will talk about where we come from and who we are. We will take pleasure in pulling apart the absurdity of a system filled with demands and restrictions on our freedom, reclaiming our lives and our desires. Without Brad Pitt, without Michel Sardou, without the Beatles, without dad, grandpa, uncle, or cousin…….. and everything will be just fine.
