In 1543, Nice faces the Franco-Turkish armies led by François Ier and Soliman le Magnifique. A fiery-tempered washerwoman, Catherine Ségurane, steps up to lead a response that is as heroic as it is wildly offbeat, in a family comedy with commedia dell’arte overtones.
