After dropping out of psychology studies, he joined the artists’ collective “l’Atelier” in Nice, influenced by Surrealism and encouraged by the artist Ben. His work explores recurring themes such as skulls, dromedaries, and hearts, often using a scraping technique to reveal vivid colors beneath a dark layer. From 1995 onward, he developed an artistic approach called “le vol du vautour,” using organic materials such as blood, excrement, and burned bones to create works dealing with death and rebirth. Since returning to Nice in 2013, he has continued his research into vanitas and skulls, symbolizing humanity, and addresses armed conflicts through his series “Les Soldats” (2017-2018). He also created illustrations for the 1997 edition of Paul Éluard’s poem Liberté.
