Numerous artists come together on stage for one evening to pay tribute to Stéphane Benguigui, a talented multi-instrumentalist and native of Nice. Organized by Compagnie La Jajala, this Pop Rock evening honors Stéphane Benguigui, who passed away in 2024. Rather than long speeches, music takes center stage to commemorate this talented artist, with performances by Luvely Rita and Les Araignées, followed by his singer and musician friends performing his original compositions. Luvely Rita Captivated from an early age by the wild rhythms of the Fifties and the spellbinding tunes of the Sixties, this Côte d’Azur band puts its own delicately harmonious spin on songs by the Everly Brothers, the Beatles, the Hollies … Pascale Lidon: vocals & percussion Stefano Leoncini: vocals & guitar Gilles Eynaud: drums Frank Durban: bass Marc Galliani: guitar Les Araignées A band from the 80s and 90s, founded by Antoine Todaro (lyricist and composer), who was joined at the time by Stéphane Benguigui (on bass). What made them distinctive? Rock compositions performed exclusively in French. In a sensuous Sixties atmosphere, melodies like recurring waves envelop simple, minimalist words imbued with a hypnotic, vibrant poetic mood.
