Embark on a musical journey between introspection and transcendence, where Gnawa, folk, and electronic music come together to explore our illusions, our desires, and the search for truth. A French-Moroccan artist, Selim blends Gnawa, folk, and electronic sounds, weaving a world where acoustic trance meets modern textures. His project moves between introspective poetry, the hypnotic pulse of the guembri, and contemporary production. With his hybrid identity, he takes us on a journey intertwining introspective Franco-Moroccan lyrics, spellbinding guitar chords, and the deep rhythm of the guembri. Driven by electronic production, his music transcends borders, immersing listeners in a world of harmonious duality. For his new project, he is joined by M-Carlos, a saxophonist, composer, and music producer born in Santiago de Cuba, and Julien Rivière, a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and percussionist from La Réunion. In spring 2026, he will release his EP (Extended Play), “Les Yeux Grands Fermés”. With this trio creation, Selim unfolds music at the crossroads of cultural heritage and contemporary songwriting. His voice, guitar, and guembri trace the contours of an intimate world shaped by his French-Moroccan roots.
