Every summer, the Ville de Paris offers outdoor swimming at several sports centers, in the La Villette basin and the Canal Saint-Martin. It is free and open to everyone.
Hours Swimming is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. To allow the site to be cleaned and maintained, it closes from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Swimmers must leave the pools 15 minutes before closing. Group visits Reservations are required for all group visits. Please email your request to [email protected] Swimming in the La Villette basin is open to everyone, every day, free of charge and in complete safety: lifeguards watch over swimmers of all ages. Water quality is checked daily. To ensure optimal water quality, access to the swimming area is limited to 500 people per day. This public natural swimming area is set up on a floating structure measuring 16 meters wide by 100 meters long. It is divided into three separate areas: - Two paddling pools (recreational pools) with a maximum depth of 40 cm for children (under the supervision of an accompanying adult). - A small pool with a maximum depth of 1.20 m. - A large pool 2 meters deep, reserved for experienced swimmers.
