A new community-run self-repair bike workshop in the 10th arrondissement, open to everyone.
Paillettes & Cambouis is a collective, community-focused project centered on reuse, mutual support, promoting cycling, and helping everyone become self-reliant through bike mechanics. But it is also a laboratory for ideas, a community space, and a place for sharing, celebrations, and learning! Whether you have hundreds of hours of experience tinkering with the most sophisticated bike systems or do not know how to use a pump, whether you are a neighborhood hipster or completely broke, whatever your age, gender identity, or cycling habits, come and meet us and join in! Here, everyone can volunteer and/or receive help depending on what they want to do and feel capable of doing, as well as on their learning goals: with mutual support and kindness, we always find a way :) If your bike is making a slightly annoying noise or a loud, worrying one, if you are preparing for a trip, or if you simply love your bicycle so much that you want to take care of it, do not hesitate—come along. Membership is available on-site on a self-determined sliding scale based on your means (no proof required) and how much you would like to support the space: 15 euros at the solidarity rate, 30 euros at the rate that keeps the association financially balanced, or 45 euros and up, up, up to help keep the association open to as many people as possible.
