Danser, the upcoming temporary exhibition at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, will take visitors of all ages—from 4 years old—on a collective, joyful, creative, and spontaneous dance experience. A powerful medium for communication and expression, dance helps people discover their bodies, build social connections, and explore space.
Danser invites children aged 4 to 8 and their companions of all ages to engage their bodies, alternating between being performers and spectators. Spin, jump, walk, meet: four verbs structure the visit path, allowing guests to explore various styles, techniques, and cultures. These actions are both fundamental to dance practice and familiar to all children. The visit alternates between dynamic and contemplative moments through original choreographed installations designed with choreographers, videos, and more educational close-ups. Every 30 minutes, young and old alike are invited to join a collective ballroom session to learn three dances and travel through different eras.
