Artwork analysis through drawing at the Louvre Evening classes - Every Friday, from July 1 to 30 Hours: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Course description: Immerse yourself in the world of the Louvre's masterpieces through the art of drawing. This course aims to introduce you to fundamental drawing techniques and gradually familiarize you with color through the study of major works on display. Learning objectives: - Learn the basics of drawing: layout, composition, construction, rhythm, movement, light, and tonal values. - Gradual introduction to the use of color. Techniques covered: - Graphite pencil - Wash - Pen - Watercolor Subjects studied: - Italian Renaissance sculptures (Michel-Ange) - Medieval sculptures from Northern European countries - Greek and Roman statues (Cariatides) - Mesopotamian colossi - Egyptian art: Amarna Period (Aménophis IV) - The Golden Age of Dutch painting: Rembrandt, Vermeer - Galerie Médicis (Rubens) - Italian, Spanish, and French paintings Practical information: - Instructor: Claudio Locatelli, a sculptor and draftsman who graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, with over 30 years of experience. - Hours: Fridays, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Location: Musée du Louvre (gallery selected in advance, with details provided before each session). - Price: 75 euros (groups of 5 to 6 people). - Admission ticket: At the participant's expense and must be purchased in advance.
