Oscillating between contemporary dance and waacking, this swirling, highly musical performance, which brings together highly renowned artists, sets in motion(s) a journey through the history of the concerto centered on emblematic pieces by Vivaldi and Bach.
Performed by the ensemble Les Arts Florissants, under the expert direction of violinist and conductor Théotime Langlois de Swarte, the musical anthology composed for Concerto Danzante is structured around concertos by Vivaldi and Bach, with the project aiming to offer a danced journey through the history of the concerto. Its translation into dance generates two distinct and complementary creations, presented by the CCN-Ballet de Lorraine. Created by Josépha Madoki, a leading figure in waacking (a highly theatrical urban dance style), the first, centered on Vivaldi, sparks a very lively and unexpected dialogue. Developed by Maud Le Pladec, the second, centered on Bach, drives a powerful internal dynamic between contemporary dance and Baroque music, striving toward the very essence of the concerto. The concert on Sunday, June 7 at 4 p.m. is part of the inclusive Relax program. It is designed to offer a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, based on accepting the reactions and behaviors of every audience member, whatever their needs may be (people with intellectual or cognitive disabilities, multiple disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, psychological disorders, etc.). The usual codes of the concert hall are relaxed, allowing audiences to fully experience their emotions and to leave or re-enter the auditorium as they wish. To benefit from Relax support from trained welcome staff, contact us by phone at 01 44 84 44 84 or by email at [email protected] . A needs assessment form will be sent to you.
