An educational show about bodily autonomy for children aged 2 to 8, featuring stories that teach them about their rights.
“Hands Off, Minouche!” addresses the need to teach children from a very young age that their bodies must be respected. Through several playful sketches, children learn that they have the right to say no if someone violates their privacy. Because the taboo surrounding child sexual abuse can make it difficult to discuss the subject with them, “Hands Off, Minouche!” serves as a tool for opening up the conversation. Created with early-childhood professionals specializing in prevention, the show thoughtfully explores the concepts of privacy and consent. A song that gives children the superpower to say no joyfully punctuates the stories of our heroines and heroes. By the end of the show, the children know it by heart and leave humming it. The aim of “Hands Off, Minouche!” is to ensure that children understand their rights so they can respond and seek protection if they are assaulted. This show is presented as part of the Paris children’s performing arts festival “L’été des p’tits futés,” organized by Théâtre Darius Milhaud, located near the Parc de la Villette and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont.
