When she was a child, Lise adored humpback whales… So much so that she imagined herself as this giant creature. Her bath became the ocean, her plate of pasta turned into shrimp, and she swam all the way to school. “I’m not Lise, I’m Great Whale!” she would warn. Bursting with imagination and curiosity, she spent hours inventing an aquatic world for herself, filled with astonishing animals. One day, Great Whale sets off for Alaska in search of her humpback whale friends. Along the way, she has many encounters, each more surprising than the last. A sparkling show with the feel of a coming-of-age tale, in which the actress plays every character, from crab to shrimp, from octopus to jellyfish. Through the set, she creates a richly colorful underwater world and invites children to dive in. An ode to imagination, childhood, and whales. This show is presented as part of the Paris children’s performing arts festival “L’été des p’tits futés,” organized by the Théâtre Darius Milhaud, located next to the parcs de la Villette and des Buttes-Chaumont.
