This workshop lets you create comic book pages from the sketching stage through to the storyboard. During the workshop, you will create a group comic book and leave with your printed work.
Program: DAY 1: Script, Characters & Style Co-create a story, design the characters and settings, and adopt a shared drawing style to ensure a consistent look. DAY 2: Page Breakdown Determine the content of each image, build the rhythm, sequencing of the story, and dialogue. DAY 3: Storyboard Working in pairs, develop a series of drawings based on the page breakdown, placing the characters, shots, backgrounds, and speech bubbles. DAY 4: Penciling Draw the storyboard on a nice sheet of paper while learning the basics of anatomy and perspective. DAY 5: Inking and Color Go over the lines in black ink, create a color chart and dilutions, and apply the color. You will receive your printed comic book the following week. Number of spots: 10 people, all levels.
