From June 27 to August 9, 2026, Été du Canal brings the banks of the canal de l'Ourcq, canal Saint-Denis and the boucle nord de la Seine to life with a festive, cultural program open to everyone. Walks, cruises, water activities and open-air events invite residents and visitors to discover the territories of Nord-Est parisien in a new way.
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Été du Canal invites the public to discover the legacy of the Paris 2024 Games through the Grande marche Héritage olympique. Across a day focused on walking, cycling and discovery, participants explore the urban, cultural and sporting transformations now shaping the neighborhoods of Nord-Est parisien. Through visits, encounters and activities, this experience offers a fresh look at the traces left by the Games. ; Credits: SSDT After a first edition organized around a single route, the event expands this year across five different routes: four on foot and one by bike. From the Village des Athlètes , now a true living neighborhood , to the Centre aquatique olympique Métropole du Grand Paris, now open to the general public , via the quartier Pleyel , the Cité du Cinéma and the Stade de France , the event makes it possible to see firsthand the transformations launched since 2024. Far from being frozen in their Olympic past, these places continue today to write a new story, through housing , sports facilities , public spaces and cultural projects . Paced by guided visits , meetings with local stakeholders and moments for discussion , the routes offer many opportunities to better understand the changes taking place in Seine-Saint-Denis.
