From July 4 to August 30, 2026, swim in the Seine! At bras Marie, between pont Louis-Philippe and pont Marie, opposite île Saint-Louis, enjoy immediate access to Paris Plages and its activities.
What you need to know Admission to the swimming site is free. Swimmers must leave the water 30 minutes before the site closes. To find out whether the swimming area is open or closed, check our map. To enter the swimming area, you must be able to swim and be at least 1.20 m tall. Wearing a buoy is mandatory; one will be provided and must be returned in good condition. Entry into the water is supervised by lifeguards and safety staff, who will verify that both requirements are met. At least three lifeguards are present. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The site can accommodate up to 150 people. There are no individual changing rooms, but secure lockers are available for storing belongings. Visitors are therefore advised to arrive already wearing swimwear. Showers—which must be used before swimming—are also available, along with toilets, a first-aid station, and seating areas where visitors can enjoy the sunshine. The bras Marie site (Paris Centre) is open every day as long as safety conditions are met: moderate currents, water quality tested daily by the Ville de Paris, and favorable weather. If a site closes unexpectedly, visitors will be informed upon arrival or via the dedicated page on the Ville de Paris website.
