From July 4 to August 30, 2026, you can swim in the Seine! At bras de Grenelle, take a dip facing île aux Cygnes, with tour Eiffel watching over you.
Exceptional closure Due to the Coupe d'Europe de natation, some events of which will take place in the Seine, the swimming area will be closed from August 1 to 9. From July 27 to 31, access to the swimming area will be via pont Bir-Hakeim. The swimming area was expanded in 2026 with the removal of the paddling pool. To enter the site, you must be able to swim and be at least 1.20 m tall. Anyone under the age of 14 must also be accompanied by an adult. Swimmers must leave the water 30 minutes before the site closes. To find out whether the swimming area is open or closed, check our map . Wearing a flotation buoy is mandatory; one will be provided and must be returned in good condition. Entry into the water is supervised by rescue and safety staff, who verify that these two conditions are met. At least four lifeguards are on duty. Changing rooms are available, along with secure lockers, showers—which are mandatory before swimming—access to toilets, a first-aid station, and areas where you can sit and enjoy the sun. The bras de Grenelle site is open every day as long as safety conditions are met: moderate currents, water quality analyzed daily by Ville de Paris, and favorable weather.
