The Zoot Collectif draws on swing, bebop, hard bop, cool jazz… all the major styles from jazz history, reimagined with the energy of today.
The collective was founded in 2016 by a group of young jazz musicians, united by a shared vision and a desire to create together. Trained in New York, at the CNSM de Paris and elsewhere, they have since built a dynamic and ambitious presence on the jazz scene. The collective combines artistic excellence with the energy of a new generation, as demonstrated by its flagship projects: Zoot Suite Vol.1 & 2, Pannonica with Natalie Dessay, and the Zoot Symphonic Orchestra, a hybrid ensemble of 80 musicians that performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. Through its Zoot Records label and its own studio, the collective now produces a wide range of original projects that showcase jazz in France and internationally. Tickets include admission to the late show at 11 p.m. and the jam session from midnight until the club closes at 2 a.m. Advance tickets guarantee priority admission for up to 30 minutes after doors open. Musicians can enter free of charge upon presentation of a jam card. 38Riv Located in the heart of the Marais, 38Riv is an intimate jazz club and bar.
