A vast breath, a funeral march, visions of apocalypse… then light. With his Second Symphony, Gustav Mahler takes us on a profoundly moving journey: from death to hope, from doubt to resurrection. A work that is monumental, intimate and cosmic all at once, where orchestra, choir and solo voices come together in a finale of rare power. A musical moment to experience fully.
