I Was Born from a Burning Story - Civil Oration.
It is the story of a shock. An exploration of the memories of a child haunted by the horror of a hidden massacre from the Algerian War. The victims in this case are colonials, and the author’s father is the last French mayor of the village of Tenira. His allusions to the tragedy of Oran invade the child’s memory; as an adult, he is troubled by one question: “How can we talk about it?” His answer, in the form of theater-storytelling, is this performance.
