A journey into the fabulous world of musical theatre.
Franco-Venezuelan singer and composer Elisa Lécuyer is a storyteller through melody, guided by songs that tell stories. Moving between transatlantic rhythms, she brings intense energy and great sensitivity, always in service of the lyrics. With her debut EP Ouverture, she reconnects with her teenage passion for musical theatre, blending the freedom of jazz with the theatricality of singing characters. In particular, she reimagines Bud Powell’s “Bouncin’ with Bud” as “Cœur d’antan”, with French lyrics. Surrounded by close-knit musicians she has met over the years, the project captures fresh, playful and deeply personal music in a single session.
