A large and impressive lineup takes the stage for the opening of Jazz à la Villette 2026, with a special collaboration between New York collective Snarky Puppy and the Metropole Orkest.
Exactly ten years after taking the stage at the Grande Halle for a concert that left a lasting impression, Snarky Puppy returns with an XL version of the genre-blending approach that has made the band successful for two decades. Jazz, funk, rhythm and blues, soul, rock, gospel, and contemporary music: the collective has managed to fuse all these styles in an American melting pot to create a sound and style all its own. Snarky Puppy is now reunited with the full forces of the Metropole Orkest, a Dutch institution also known for building bridges between musical aesthetics. After their 2015 Sylva, a GRAMMY-winning orchestral suite, the two ensembles released Somni in 2025, an album of wild ambition — a sweeping journey across every boundary — that fully comes into its own where it was recorded: on stage. Not to be missed. Ticket sales open on May 12.
