A child, a dream, a school of excellence: at what cost?
At age 9, Elliot enters the École de danse de l’Opéra de Paris. While his dreams grow faster than his body, boarding school, assessments, and the fear of expulsion shape the rhythm of his childhood. He recounts his classes, friendships, successes, doubts, and constant pursuit of excellence. A story about the passage from childhood to adulthood and the search for one’s path. This performance is autofiction. The events described come from personal experience and a subjective point of view. The situations and characters have been transformed for dramaturgical purposes. Any resemblance to real people would be coincidental.
