After the release of “La couturière de Marie-Antoinette. Rose Bertin, l’invention de la haute couture,” published by Tallandier on October 23, 2025, in the “Libre à Elles” collection, the médiathèque Edmond Rostand invites author Audrey Millet for a lecture.

In her book, Audrey Millet traces the life of Rose Bertin (1747‑1813), born in Abbeville, Marie‑Antoinette’s milliner, often nicknamed the “minister of Fashion” and regarded as having invented haute couture by transforming clothing craftsmanship into an art form and an instrument of power.
