A meeting with the Maison des journalistes, a place that welcomes, assists and supports journalists forced into exile, in partnership with the Ligue des Droits de l'Homme (LDH)
For more than 20 years, the Maison des journalistes (MDJ) has welcomed, assisted and supported journalists forced into exile for exercising their freedom to report. Journalists welcomed by the MDJ receive social and cultural support. As part of this meeting, hosted by journalist Claire Servajean, we will welcome Djenyka Piverger, a Haitian journalist, Djify Elugba Kabamba, a Congolese journalist from RDC, Behzad Qayoumzada, an Afghan journalist, and Darline Cothière, director of the Maison des Journalistes. The MDJ helps develop diverse news coverage: exiled journalists have their own full-fledged web media outlet, L’Œil de la Maison des journalistes, allowing them to continue producing written and audiovisual reporting. Finally, grounded in the values it defends, the MDJ carries out many awareness-raising initiatives with different audiences on the importance of free information. Meeting organized in partnership with the LDH, Paris 15e section. Created in 1898 to defend Captain Dreyfus, the LDH brings together women and men from all backgrounds and walks of life who freely choose to join together to reflect, discuss and act in defense of rights and freedoms. ; Credits: LDH15 Thursday, June 11 at 7 p.m. Auditorium Registration required from May 11 at billetweb.fr/pro/agendayourcenar or with the librarians
