Take Me Out presents… Kazdoura in concert! KAZDOURA (psychpop · Toronto, CAN) Kazdoura, meaning “to stroll” in Levantine Arabic, embodies a spirit of exploration, nostalgia, and groove. Founded in Toronto by Syrian singer Leen Hamo and Lebanese multi-instrumentalist John Abou Chacra, the duo creates a sound that bridges modern and traditional Arabic music with psychedelia, funk, and soul. Their music has a vintage-tinged psychedelic and soulful atmosphere, with Leen’s ethereal, ornamented voice soaring above lush, hypnotic arrangements. Their debut album, Ghoyoum, surpassed one million streams, earning them nominations for “Best New Artist” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards 2025 and the CFMA. They received the “Best Album of the Year” award at the Ontario Folk Music Awards, where they also won “Best Music Video of the Year.” After performing across Canada, the United Kingdom, and Egypt, and appearing at WOMEX, Mundial Montréal, and APAP, Kazdoura continues to expand its international presence while working on its highly anticipated second album.
