Want to shake things up in a joyful spirit? The 5 Pôles Sourds libraries of the Ville de Paris are joining forces again to offer you the 7th edition of Bibliopi en fête: “Shake Up Your World!” at the médiathèque James Baldwin (19th arrondissement).
For one day, the médiathèque becomes a major meeting and creative space to celebrate today’s struggles and imagine tomorrow. Feminisms, ecology, migration and exile, LGBTQIA+, Deaf culture… Here, we express ourselves, play, and have fun together, because joy is a force for changing things! Children and adults, Deaf and hearing people, let’s share this festive moment in French Sign Language (LSF) and spoken French, alongside Deaf and hearing librarians, with LSF/FR interpreters present! ON THE PROGRAM All our activities, talks, performances, and workshops are free to attend and require no registration. The program is displayed at the bottom of the page. MORNING 10:30 AM - 11 AM I Story time: A bilingual reading (LSF/FR) with the librarians of James Baldwin (19th arrondissement) to imagine a more open world - For ages 3-6. 11:15 AM I “Grotesque” performance: A funny visual show where a dancer transforms before your eyes into fantastic creatures - Ages 5 and up. AFTERNOON Thematic talks and meetups: - 1:10 PM-2 PM I Ecology: “Ecology today: for whom?” by Mouttou SAGADEVIN. - 2:05 PM-2:55 PM I Migration and exile: “Migrants: who are they?” by Ezra BABIN. A live adaptation of the SIGNCAST video format ( les_mains_qui_partagent ) - 3 PM-4 PM I Deaf Culture and LSF: “What I wanted to say...” when French and LSF meet. with Katia POTHIN ( LSF ON AIR ) and Sandra RECOLLON ( regardscroisés_LSF ).
