This workshop aims to teach how to draw the human body using concrete anatomical foundations and to understand how to represent and grasp the proportions of the different parts of the body (face, torso, hands, feet…). It also covers how to place the body in space and in perspective. Theoretical classes are given in the morning, followed by drawing with a live model in the afternoon.
Content: – The proportions of the human body. Drawing the human body according to the main parts to be animated. – The skeletal structure and the different parts that make up the body. Introduction to the main muscles. – Simplified forms. – Drawing the body using main shapes, axes, and successive basic mannequins. – Drawing the body in perspective: the body, volumes, cylinders. High-angle and low-angle views. – Drawing the head with its proportions and different axes. – The main skeletal landmarks and fat deposits. – How to draw the mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. – How to draw hands and feet. – How to draw the body with tonal values.
