Reading and discussion around Pierre Ménard’s book "Rien que les heures"

To mark the publication of his book Rien que les heures by JOU, Pierre Ménard will read excerpts from his text, in the form of a tour of the day in 80 worlds. Rien que les heures is a journey through Paris from north to south over the course of a single day. At each of the route’s 60 stops, time comes to a halt, on alert. At the same moment, scenes unfold in different places around the world: 146 countries and 396 cities. The succession of stories that emerge as the hours pass, of situations appearing out of order like so many epiphanies, forms a constellation of suspended moments, of freeze-frames. The juxtaposition of these multiple layers of narrative makes it possible to explore different points of view simultaneously in a polyphonic experience. Pierre Ménard lives and works in Paris. He has published several books with various publishers. His website: https://www.liminaire.fr Joachim Séné and Anne Savelli, who accompany this reading by Pierre Ménard, are both authors and members of the collective L’AiR Nu. Anne Savelli published Bruits with Inculte in 2026, while Joachim Séné published Disparitions, apparitions with Abrüpt in 2025. Like Pierre Ménard’s book, both of their books seek to describe a vision of the world within the space of an instant.
